WE BELIEVE that the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God, without error in the
original writings, that they are the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and that they are the Divine
and final authority in relation to Christian faith and life. (Matthew 4: 3-4; 2 Timothy 3: 14-17; Hebrews 4: 12)
WE BELIEVE in the one true God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and totally infallible, eternally existing in three
persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28: 19; Luke 3: 21-22; John 14: 6-17; 1 John 5:7)
WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and
born of the Virgin Mary. He was tempted and yet lived a totally sinless life. He offered Himself as a penal substitution
for our sin, and died upon the cross, a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, we believe that, on the
third day, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Father on High, He is
now our High Priest and Intercessor. Further, that He will personally return for His church and to execute His judgment
upon the wicked. (Matthew 1: 18-25; John 1: 1-14; 1 Corinthians 15: 1-8; 1Thessalonians 4: 16-18)
WE BELIEVE that salvation is by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, even that the faith to believe and
accept is according to God’s grace alone. Further, that no work of man, however noble, is required in order to receive
salvation. (Romans 8: 28-30; 1 Thessalonians 5: 9; Titus 3: 3-7)
WE BELIEVE that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and, during this age, to convict men,
regenerate the believing sinner, and indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for righteous living and service.
(John 14: 26, 15: 26)
WE BELIEVE that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin, and is therefore lost; and that the shed blood
of Jesus Christ and His Resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and that
only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained and the believer numbered
amongst the children of God. (Genesis 1: 27; Isaiah 61:1; Romans 3: 23-26; John 3: 3-6; John 14:6; Romans 8: 14-17)
WE BELIEVE that water baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances to be observed by the Church during the present
age. They are, however, not to be regarded as means of salvation. (Matthew 28: 19; Romans 6: 3-11; 1 Corinthians 11:
23-28)
WE BELIEVE that the true Church is made up of all people who have, through saving faith in Jesus Christ, been
renewed by the Holy Spirit, and are united together in the Body of Christ of which He is the Head as a holy priesthood
of believers. Further, that believers need to demonstrate their commitment to Christ in love, unity and fellowship with
others in a practical expression of faith in action. Through the five-fold ministry of apostles, prophets, evangelists,
pastors and teachers, Christ has gifted His Church for maturing, ordering, equipping, and releasing the whole body to
do all of that which reveals his glory. (1 Corinthians 12: 12-14; Ephesians 1: 22-23; 4: 11-16)
WE BELIEVE in the literal coming of our Lord Jesus Christ at the end of the age, when He will return personally and
visibly to the earth to claim His kingdom, and that this "Blessed Hope" has a vital bearing on the personal life and service
of the believer. (Isaiah 2: 2; Isaiah 60; 62; Amos 9: 11-12; Matthew 24; Acts 1: 6-11; 2: 17-21; 15: 16-17; Ephesians 5:
27; 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18; 5: 1-9; Revelation 19-22)
WE BELIEVE in the resurrection of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, to enjoy eternal
fellowship with Him; and that the unbeliever will be delivered to judgment and everlasting punishment and separation
from God the Father. (1 Thessalonians 4: 16-17; John 5: 25-29; 2 Corinthians 5: 1; Revelation 20: 11-15; 21: 1-4; 21:7-8)
