Rev Colin Gordon-Farleigh w as the minister of St John’s
Presbyterian Church in Runcorn, Cheshire for twelve years from
September 1998.
He has been writing poetry for almost sixty years, his first
booklet of poetry, ‘Memories’ having been published in 1966, with
the latest collection In Praise of Him Eternally released in 2009.
For the past few years the majority of his work has been a
mixture of hymns and praise verse, much of which is now available
either in books or on CD, the words spoken against a background of
restful, meditative music.
Rev Colin is currently collaborating with several composers on
his hymns and worship songs, including Greg Scheer, Ken Fayle,
Andrew Millinchip, Andrey Sysoev and Linda M Price, in addition
to which, he has also composed several new pieces himself.
Together with Greg Scheer, he also writes easy-listening songs,
a CD of which, ‘When I’m With You’, sung by Susan Marrs, will
soon be available from Sheer Joy Music.
